Midweek TT championship 15/05/2013
With Andy Overton on marshalling duty Paul Darby took his chance at the latest round of the midweek championship held on the 10 miles Great Witley course to go to the top of the standings. However he was beaten into second place on the night by Chris Morris making a rare solo appearance in preference to his tandem pairing with Phil Hunt. Although Andy remains top of the Handicap standings he is joined by Dave Brown who put in a great ride on the night. Dave Wood continues to lead the Vets on Standard and has moved into 2nd place in the Scratch event after his ride on Wednesday.

William rides to top 10 finish at Sundourne
William Pedersen rode his 2nd race for Wyre Forest CRC in the Under 14s 10 mile road race which was round 3 of the West Midlands Youth Circuit Series at the Sundourne circuit at Shrewsbury on Sunday and he was rewarded with a fine top 10 finish in a quality field of riders. The race was full on from the gun and was strung out for much of the early laps as riders tried to get away and lap 3 being was completed in a swift 1 min 36 seconds. The pace was unrelenting with numerous attacks but William kept alert and got into break of 7 riders which managed to get a small gap but it was soon brought back by the bunch and despite numerous failed attacks, the race finished in a bunch sprint and William crossed the line safely in the reduced bunch for his best finish in the series so far and a huge improvement on his round 1 performance.

Gerry Hughes Memorial RR 21/04/2013
The break of 8 riders went within the first 10-15 minutes and I really regret not going with it as they stayed away until the finish. I was in a good position near the front of the bunch and my legs felt good. I attempted breaking away with a few riders around a lap later but this was unsuccessful, we gained around 50-100 meters off the front before being brought back into the main bunch. After spending a small amount of time recovering mid pack I worked my way towards the front and worked with some riders from NFTO and Beacon CC (plus others) to try and bring back the break. This was again unsuccessful.
