Malvern Cycle Sport Reliability ride
This weekend 29/01/2012 brings you the Malvern Cycle Sport Reliability ride. This year the ride follows a new route south of Malvern and coming back up and over the hills. The HQ is located at Great Malvern Primary School, Lydes Road WR14 2BY.
There is a car park available for use but please note that Lydes Road is one way and cannot be accessed from Pickersleigh Road. Instead go up to the roundabout in Barnards Green, take the turning down Upper Chase Road and follow the road round to the opposite end of Lydes Road. The car park entrance is on the right hand side just before the main school building.
The ride is approximately 53 miles in length, the first half relatively flat with a couple of climbs thrown into the latter half. Sign on is from 8.45am with the start at 9.30am. Entry is £3, with tea and cake included afterwards back at the HQ. We will split the riders into groups. Usually this is done on a simple steady/ quick split but if numbers are high we shall split down into further groups so that the mass of riders leaving the start is not too large all in one go.
As it is a new route we will put some arrows out on key junctions but the whole route will not be signed; it is a reliability ride after all. A link to the route map is attached below for your information.

Brian Robinson Challenge Ride 2012
Entries are now open for one of the season’s favorite ‘warm up’ sportives. Before taking on the rigors of others why not test yourself on this 75 mile roller coaster? The event uses the same roads and climbs which Britain’s first Tour De France stage winner trained on. Brian Robinson has also attended the event each year to the delight of many cycling fans. Based around Huddersfield access by road and rail is easy and this event has traditionally featured a closed road mass start thanks to the support of the local Police, highways and Metro. Reasonably priced and with excellent facilities it has drawn praise from riders and cycling administrators alike.

This event is not for profit and entries have supported many worthy causes over the years, including Yorkshire Air Ambulance, which sadly has helped many cyclists in distress
