March race results
With Wyre Forest CRC's top time trialists taking a break from competition it was left to the club's roadmen to carry the flag for the last week. Brothers David and Paul Brown teamed up with Gary Jones to contest their first race of the season in the Hereford and District Wheelers CC promoted 35 miles 3 up time trial for road bikes centered on Allensmore. On an undulating course they finished 9th team with a respectable time of 1 hour 39 minutes and 1 second. On the previous weekend veteran road racer John Clarke started his summer season with 2nd place in his age category in the LVRC race held near Pinvin. He joined a three man break early in the race which gradually pulled away from the rest of the field eventually reducing to two for the final few miles with Clarke just failing to take the win in the sprint for the line.
